About The Author

Author June Matthews

A survivor of horrific abuse at the hands of family and strangers now lives a wonderful life in Washington state.

Born into an abusive and violent home, June was moved from parent to parent until the age of 12.

A runaway for years, she experienced horrific violence and abuse, followed by a lifetime of dysfunction and sadness until she entered an Alcohol and Drug treatment center. The treatment center changed her life.

She remained clean and sober while still struggling with memories from her past.

Life and career changes led June and her husband to pack up their life in California and move into their dream house in an idyllic small town in Eastern Washington. Alone in their new home while he traveled for work, peculiar events began to unfold and her life was changed forever. A lifelong skeptic, June never would have imagined she’d become a paranormal researcher and author. What happened in the house forever changed her views on spirituality, the paranormal and what it means to heal.

She wanted to share her unique story with the desire that it will help others on their journey toward recovery and renewal.

Today she remains a private person, markedly restricted physically from injuries but no longer chained to her past. June and her husband Jim still live in the house, where she is hard at work on her next book, a sequel to THE RELIVING. She continues her paranormal research and working on another book to share her techniques on Electronic Voice Phenomena. She loves entertaining guests in her home, taking pictures, creating jewelry with her daughter, crafting, decorating her house and target shooting with her husband.

She is a proponent of The 12 Steps of Alcoholics Anonymous.

I visit her at the house frequently as it is hard for her to get out due to physical limitations, many times I am able to help her with whatever current home improvments she is working on. (installing wood floors, tile ...)

I am also present for one of June's favorite things, the yearly Halloween Party.
